Since shadowboxes do not have the depth of a framed dome at its center (4 3/4" vs. 6" or 7"), they are not satisfactory for large flowers such as certain lilies. They do, however, have more the look of a furniture accessory than a picture. They are wonderful receptacles for your invitation, garter or a favor -- surrounded with the artfully arranged flowers of your bouquet.
