We wish we could tell you that your preserved bouquet will still be around -- as beautiful as the day you got it -- for your grandchildren. It won't. At this stage of technology there just isn't any "everlasting" treatment. Of all the methods, freeze-drying with the accompanying pre- and post-treatments of polymers offers the best option for longevity. But flowers are still collections of fragile, organic materials. Over time, handling, exposure to light, vibration and the relentless tug of gravity will reduce the initial beauty of the arrangement (though not the memory it represents).
