Freeze drying a flower does not improve its appearance. It captures exactly what is there. Unfortunately, almost every bouquet has been through the ordeal of the photography sessions, being carried down the aisle in a death grip, laid down on tables and, heaven forbid . . . dropped once or twice. After all of this, there are going to be a few less-than-perfect flowers. A lot of the time this is easy to remedy, because the damage occurs on the flowers at the back of the bouquet. They can usually be removed without being missed. Somtimes though, a visible flower is noticeably damaged. When something happens to a headliner in your bouquet -- a Casablanca Lily, for example, or Ecuadorian roses -- we have to go to a local florist for a replacement. When this occurs, we charge you exactly what we paid for the replacement -- and this is something we will always discuss with you before we do it. |
